Working with AI Ethics & AI Literacy Since 2016

With over 20 years of international legal experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Tatiana Caldas-Löttiger has advised major tech companies including SAP, Telefónica, and Ericsson. She has also served as a trusted legal advisor to startups and global law firms across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, guiding clients through the complex legal landscape of telecommunications and AI regulation.
An EU-focused, tech-savvy lawyer trained in both Civil Law and Common Law systems, Tatiana brings a rare blend of legal depth, cross-border business acumen, and high Cultural Intelligence (C.Q). She empowers business leaders to navigate digital transformation in an ethical, responsible, and globally informed way. This dual competence is especially valuable in areas like cross-border tech law, AI governance, and international contracts, where navigating different legal frameworks is essential for compliance, negotiation, and innovation.
Tatiana has been sharing knowledge on AI Ethics and AI Literacy since 2016 giving lectures for different law schools around the world and chambers of commerce. As a regular keynote speaker at The Annual Global Legal Skills Conference, a USA-based organization. In 2024, Tatiana was awarded in Bari, Italy, for her continuous work on AI ethics, Cultural Intelligence for Artificial Intelligence by the Global Legal Skills Institute (GLSI).
As founder and CEO of International WoMenX in Business for Ethical AI (IWIB4AI), created a global grassroots civil society organization with global reach to represent civil society in the AI conversation. IWIB4AI gathers a multidisciplinary group of individuals to voice civil society's concerns and to help build a world where AI is developed, deployed, and used ethically. The term "WoMenX" reflects a broad approach that encompasses men, women, and the X-factor, the 'more-than-human' experiences from technology, symbolizing the integration of technology and machine intelligence in society and the business landscape.
Tatiana is legally trained in Sweden (Master in European Law), in the USA (Master in International Business & Trade Law) and Colombia (J.D). Also certified in Data Ethics, AI and Responsible Innovation from The University of Edinburgh (2021), CCEP-I Ethics & Compliance from The Society of Corporate Compliance (SCCE) and EU Data Protection from IAAP (2018).
Tatiana has authored several articles on Cultural Intelligence (C.Q), International Business Etiquette, and Ethical AI. As an Ambassador at the Liquid Legal Insitute (LLI) for Northern Europe, I have co-authored two articles for LLI's latest books: Liquid Legal Vol 3 - Humanization and the Law and soon to be published, Sustaining the Rule of Law - Artificial Intelligence and the Cloud.
